Description
Who are we?
We are a health technology startup building the search and data infrastructure for digital health systems of tomorrow. Our mission is simple, but the environment which we specialize in is complex.
We power enterprise-scale health organizations and healthtech startups to improve and optimize access to health care & support across North America and Europe. At our heart, we are a product & technology driven organization, and we look for people who share our vision leveraging technology to solve and scale some of the most impactful operational challenges in healthcare.
Having recently signed a long-term partnership with the largest health tech company in Canada (TELUS Health) and with some more to be announced this year, Clinia is seeking an executive to lead and manage our relationships with enterprise partners. The Director Channel Sales will play a crucial role in ensuring that our partners are supported and happy to foster mutual financial success.
What are we looking for?
We look for people who stand out and make us better. We want someone who brings their whole self to work, who’s deeply passionate about what they do, and who’s excited to contribute to a culture rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
We’re building something that matters, and we want teammates who care deeply—about the mission, the craft, and the people they work with.
While we embrace remote work, we have a strong preference for applicants who are currently residing in Canada.
Your role
We are looking for a self-directed, relationship-driven leader to take ownership of our most important channel partnership. In this role, you'll work closely with our CEO, Go-to-Market and Account Management teams to unlock and grow new business opportunities with a key reseller based in Canada, serving clients internationally. You’ll act as the main point of contact and strategic partner to their team — not just maintaining the relationship, but actively driving pipeline, uncovering new use cases, and helping convert opportunities into business for our partners - when they win, we win.
As our product offering continues to evolve, you'll play a key role in shaping how we position it within the channel, adapting to new learnings, and identifying where the greatest impact lies. This is not a passive relationship management role — it’s a high-impact business development opportunity. You’ll be embedded in the partner’s day-to-day sales rhythm, shaping how our joint offering is positioned, sold, and delivered. As we grow, you’ll also play a role in evaluating and supporting new channel opportunities, with the potential to expand into broader leadership.
As the Director Channel Sales, you can expect to:
- Manage and grow our most important reseller relationships, acting as a strategic and operational partner
- Support and influence the full sales cycle — from discovery through proposal — with a focus on quality, fit, and long-term value
- Embed yourself in the partner’s sales motions to help drive outcomes: joining key meetings, offering guidance, and ensuring alignment between partner activity and our evolving offering
- Establish and nurture relationships at all levels of the partner organization, from sales teams to senior leadership
- Build trust by proactively supporting enablement, co-planning pipeline, and removing roadblocks to success
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, tech, GTM) to support solution design and prioritize partner feedback
- Track and document opportunities, initiatives, and partner interactions to support transparency and execution
- Support deal execution until closing, including commercial discussions, negotiation, and compliance
- Stay informed on industry trends and market dynamics that may impact our partner strategy
- Help assess and develop new channel opportunities as the business evolves
- Over time, identify, recruit, and launch new channel partnerships
In terms of skills, you should have:
- Proven experience managing high-value channel or strategic partnerships in health tech
- Strategic business development mindset — able to uncover and shape complex opportunities, co-develop joint business plans, and adapt to evolving partner goals
- Experience working with evolving product offerings — comfortable navigating ambiguity, co-creating solutions, and iterating based on feedback
- A strong blend of sales intuition and account management depth, with the ability to drive both relationships and meet revenue targets
- Comfort navigating both operational and executive-level conversations with partner organizations
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills — written, verbal, and in presentations, including in high-stakes negotiations and industry events
- Strong organizational and project management abilities to stay on top of details while moving the big picture forward
- In-depth understanding of the health tech or healthcare industry, including knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape
- The ability to adapt to changing client requirements and industry dynamics
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience in a startup environment and VC-backed companies (a plus)
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential
If you have other skills that you think would be a plus for the team, we are of course very curious to hear from you.
