This is a unique opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in product development to combine their clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced startup environment.

While we expect this role to be integral to solidifying and leading clinical initiatives across the entire organization and product, we are flexible with a candidate who might want to keep a minority involvement with their existing practice / case load.

Your role
As a Medical Director, you will play a key role in shaping our clinical approach as well as functionality scoping and prioritization, while ensuring regulatory compliance, product validation, and integrating clinical best practices into our products to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the practitioners and patients who use our technologies. Reporting directly to our CEO, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and go-to-market to support various opportunities spanning North America and Europe.

At a high level, you’ll be involved in:
  • Clinical Vision & Leadership: Provide medical leadership and expertise for clinical and product initiatives, informing the design, development, and iteration of AI-driven healthcare products.
  • Product Research & Development: Collaborate with engineering, product, and business development teams to ensure clinical applicability, validity and effectiveness. Lead research initiatives and inform evidence-based product development, and ensure that our solutions meet the needs of users (providers and patients)
  • Clinical Validation: Lead development of clinical guidelines and safety measures for product implementation, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, FDA, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Clinical Reputation & Client Adoption: Act as a trusted clinical advisor and subject matter expert to clients, providing guidance in client meetings, presentations, and demonstrations for adopting and implementing AI-driven solutions.
  • Sales Support: Support go-to-market and sales activities, including representing Clinia in sales meetings, as well as at conferences and industry panels.

In terms of skills, you should have:

  • A Medical Degree; board certification in a relevant specialty preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with a strong understanding of digital health systems. Experience using and/or building AI-powered health applications is desirable.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a healthcare or health tech organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ideally located within and practicing in North America
