This is a unique opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in product development to combine their clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced startup environment.

While we expect this role to be integral to solidifying and leading clinical initiatives across the entire organization and product, we are flexible with a candidate who might want to keep a minority involvement with their existing practice / case load.

Your role

As a Medical Director, you will play a key role in shaping and executing our vision - to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the practitioners and patients who use our technologies. This will include clinical guidance and direction for functionality scoping and prioritization, product validation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to our CEO, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and go-to-market to support various opportunities spanning North America and Europe.

At a high level, you’ll be involved in:

Clinical Vision & Leadership: Drive the medical leadership and expertise for product initiatives, informing design, development, and iteration of AI-driven healthcare products and technologies.
Product Research & Development: Collaborate with engineering, product, and business development teams to ensure clinical applicability, validity and effectiveness. Lead research initiatives and inform evidence-based product development, and ensure that our solutions meet the needs of users (providers and patients).
Clinical Expertise & Credibility: Represent Clinia to the fullest of our ambitions, demonstrating our SME expertise and clinical impact at conferences, industry panels, and other go-to-market activities.

In terms of skills, you should have:

A Medical Degree; board certification in a relevant specialty preferred
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with a strong understanding of the digital health ecosystem.
Experience using and/or building AI-powered health applications is highly desirable, a curiosity for the possible is essential. Previous experience in a product-led or technology organization is a significant asset.
Experience in a leadership role within a healthcare or health tech organization.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ideally located within and practicing (or previously practiced) in North America.
